"Fluorescent Pinwheel Construction/World Translucent to Our Likeness" - Introduction
I met with four architects from Seville, Spain at the Art Research Center in Kansas City, Mo. After reviewing seven concepts I had drafted they offered a one-person exhibition. Asking me to develop one of the seven concepts providing me with a nominal grant.
The Art Research Center was a 4,000 sq. ft. space. I divided the center in half (2,000 sq. ft. each side), exhibiting the “Fluorescent Pinwheel Construction” in one half and seven proposals in the other. I decided to develop the “Fluorescent Pinwheel Construction”.
The “Fluorescent Pinwheel Construction” was a 2,000 sq. ft. participatory, kinetic sound installation.
